| As one drives through Upcoutry Maui, cows and horses dot the hilly, landscape as lush waterfalls and swimming pools wind through the valleys. If one veers off from a main road, little country roads often lead to hidden treasures. My art studio and sleeping cottage are off such a road at the very end of a long driveway, tucked away amongst banana trees and tropical flowers. It is very peaceful. Whether we live in or know where to visit such places, sweet paradise getaways are so important to experience in life... a feeling of being wrapped in a sanctuary for the soul.
