Breathing In
 
My fiancé, Vaughn Paul, introduced me to a meditation called "Expanding Circles." In the meditation we began by breathing in our surroundings. "Look at the grass right next to you," he said, "Feel how alive it is. Breathe it in." Next he suggested breathing in the yellow wildflowers, then the trees, and slowly expanding my vision outward to the ocean, the open sky, and finally to the light pouring down from the sun. I felt alive, once again connected to all life.
